 List friends,
This is a second message from We-Move. Their new web site, while still
under construction does have some good, clearly presented information - I
think especially useful for the newly diagnosed. It will be interesting
to see their Medical Professional's Section for more detailed
information, when it is completed. As of now it does include a detailed
Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating scale.

WE MOVE has recently completed a major reorganization and update of its
patient- directed information on Parkinson's disease at the WE MOVE
website http://www.wemove.org.

The revised Parkinson's disease section now includes:
--an FAQ on etiology, epidemiology, and disease course
--an expanded and integrated section on diet, exercise, and
non-pharmacologic approaches
--a more comprehensive overview of medical treatment
--a separate page concerning COMT inhibitors, with links to E-Moves
--an updated discussion of dopamine agonists as early monotherapy, with
links to
E-Moves on reduction of dyskinesia
--an update of fetal transplant information, with results from
double-blind
trials, and a link to E-Move
--two new sections (still under construction):
        a. new and experimental treatments
        b. sources of additional information
--medical review by Dr. Mark Stacy and Dr. Kapil Sethi

We hope you will take a moment to review this new information, available
at http://www.wemove.org/par.html. As always, we will continue to keep
you
posted on our Web site enhancements. Parkinson's disease information for
health professionals will be added soon, including a complete set of
downloadable slides covering all aspects of the disease and its
treatment.
