Bill,

Nancy withdrew from Mirapex and returned to Permax without
any proplems. She did it cold turkey and had no problems.
The Mirapex didn't seem to have any advantage over the
Permax for her. At the time she was experiencing a radical
weight loss and we were trying to ween her from all new meds
and get her back on the old meds to see if that would stop
the weight loss. It did stop the weight loss but we never
did figure out why she had the loss occurred.

Subject: Switching from Mirapex to Permax.

Greetings,

A friend called today to ask if I would pose a
question to my braintrust,
the List. Here goes. His doctor is suggesting he
switch from Mirapex to
Permax. The doctor also said that both can be
taken together as you bring
the Permax up in dose, and bring the dose of
Mirapex down. Has any of you
been thru the same process? Did you stop the
Mirapex gradually then began
the introduction of the Permax? Any insights would
be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance and best to all.
Warm regards
Bill
