In studying sensory perception there is a measurement called the JND, or Just Noticeable Difference. If you draw an ellipse, or oval, and gradually make it more circular....At what point do you perceive, notice that it is no longer oval, instead may be defined as a circle? Similarly for a PAP there are JND in self perceptions. This requires continuous (as distinguished from continual) self assessment and re-integration of the self. One of these epiphanies, an anecdote.
