Thanks to Ivan for relaying word of the vote scheduled in the Senate tomorrow--that is Wednesday--on the Labor-HHS billlw hci contains funding for PD. I have sent these emails to our Ohio Senators , modified according to their posutions so far. Hope it helps--please call or email your senators ASAP! *********** Dear Senator Voinovich-- thank you for your letter of Sept. 13, 1999 indicating your support of funding for Parkinsons disease research. In view of this, we hope you will be voting on Wednesday 9/29 in favor of the he Labor, HHS bill which goes to the Senate floor in the morning tomorrow. In that bill is funding which supports Parkinson's disease research. One of the messages that came out of the Senate committee hearing this morning , at which Michael J. Fox and others testified, was that people would like to see Parkinson's disease receive the full authorization of funds included in the UDALL Act which passed Congress last year. This, then, is your chance to act on the concern expressed in your reply to us on the 13th. Please do add your support for this important funding of Parkinson's research.
