Dear Ivan--as always you are right in there pitching! Hope you get a response to the letter, which I'm sure you will share. Your suggestion to J.Reno of her personal advocacy was a gentle one--and I was glad for that, as the poor woman must be under terrible stress in her job. That's something we need to realize, no matter how great we think her public advocacy would be. Perhaps, like MJFox, she will step forward more vigorously once she is free of the enormous responsibilities of her office. We have to remember that there are some "ordinary PWPs" who won't even reveal that they have PD for fear of the effect on their jobs--imagine what the people who already "have their knives out" to get Reno could do if she started talking about what may be down the road for her!
