Very interesting experience. Glad I didnt miss it. Successful in that eveybody seemed to agree - now they just have to report back to the main appropriations committee who then have to persuade the senate .... and so on ad infinitum. The speakers were all very moving - on behalf of research, though not much was said on behalf of individuals. And MJF announced that he was taking a much more active role in the fight for the cure....... There were quite a few old friends from across the country. Most notably Gerrie and Brig Haines and a whole contingent from Pennsylvania, some from New York, and New Jersey. And of course all the PAN people, and Robin Elliot, and Peter Morabito and his dog Victor, and tons of other people - and Porquetta, the pig with an agenda..
