Susan,

In addition to the good suggestion Janet made about sharing with the audience
that you have PD thereby establishing your credibility. i.e. that you are
supporting animal research for more than intellectual reasons- that you have a
stake in it- you might check with your doctor and take 10 or 20 mg of inderal
before a speaking engagement.

The inderal should not interfere with your PD and cuts back on the stimulation
of by the adrenal gland which happens when you are nervous. It is more likely
to help if tremor is not one of your base symptoms (IMO) but it might at least
cut the tremor down some when you are under stress. I have done this several
times with patients without PD with good results and I see no reason why it
shouldn't work in PD patients as well. If you choose to try it be sure you get
your doctors ok and test it in a lower stress situation to be sure there are no
side effects.
