Joy,
There are special protectors available in Australia.  I actually saw a PWP
yesterday in the Clinic with hip protectors.  I will get more information
for you at work tomorrow if I can.  They are medical type supply -- not
sports protectors.  They spread the impact on the body when the person falls
so that whilst bruising happens fractures are less likely,
