Fox told a a Senate Appropriations subcommittee yesterday that he'd hidden his Parkinson's disease for eight years "through increasing amounts of medication, through surgery and by employing the hundreds of little tricks and techniques a person with Parkinson's learns to mask his or her condition." The Canadian-born actor, who urged Congress -- which in 1997 authorized $100 million to study the disease -- to put an additional $75 million more toward research into the causes of the incurable ailment. Fox, 38, who last year made public that he's had Parkinson's since 1991, said "My days of quietly soldiering on are over.
