Several years ago, ten perhaps, I read an article in The New York Times
Sunday Magazine which described Pet Scan in a metaphor which
I haven't forgotten:to wit: (loosely)
CT scan is the road map of the brain;
Pet Scan tells how the traffic is running.
Since that time considerable advances have been made in ths type of
technology which this amateur has yet to fathom.
