Hi Everyone, Just a reminder to those members, both old ones and new ones, that PDKIDS is available to any child 18 years or younger. It is a wonderful way for kids to ask questions and help each other with their unique concerns around loving someone with PD. Please tell any PWP who might have a child or grandchild who would benefit from talking to other kids in the same situation. Below are instructions for joining. Susan Reese, RN, LCSW National Coordinator American Parkinson Disease Association Young-Onset Information & Referral Center PDKIDS PDKIDS is an Internet forum for children who love someone with PD and who want to "talk" via email to other kids with similar experiences. PDKIDS provides the opportunity for kids to talk to each about anything they wish related to Parkinson's disease. Here's how PDKIDS works: · First join the list by sending an email to [log in to unmask] There is no cost to subscribe. · You will receive a welcome message and instructions about how the list works and how you can begin sending and receiving emails from the PDKIDS membership. · After you receive the instructions you can begin to write to other kids by sending your email to the PDKIDS email address that you will be given. · Your email will be sent automatically to all kids who have joined the list. Anyone who wants to respond to you can send his or her email message by pushing the "reply" button and then writing whatever they wish to send. Their email will be posted to the entire list membership, so anyone can reply who is a PDKIDS list member and all members will be able to read the replies. · Remember, PDKIDS is for kids only-not for moms or dads or aunts or uncles (unless they are under 18!)
