Hilary.... You're terrific! I'd be happy to call the attending physician tomorrow, if you'll pass on to me the name and phone number of the hospital Dawana's in. Don't forget I'm on West Coast time so those of you who don't live on the West Coast, please don't get mad at me for not posting any further information regarding regarding blood donation at 7 or 8:00 a.m. YOUR time.... 'cause it'll still particularly be the middle of the nite MY time! (And 'sides.... I have to get the info from Hilary about the hospital/attending MD first thing in the A.M.) Hilary - how'd you get all that info in the first place?!? You make one heckuva good detective! By the way - I got turned down as a blood donor today... It seems that having an "unknown anti-body" plus having had major surgery last May with a bad clotting abnormality due to taking a high daily dose of vitamin E shot me down as a donor. I shouldn't - according to the nurse at the Red Cross - even donate blood for myself in advance of any future surgery, in HER opinion.
