Dear List Family... I've yet to receive a FAXed message from Dawana Armendtrout's attending physician, per the request of the Red Cross Blood Doner spokesperson I talked to yesterday. I suggest that those of you who plan on donating blood in Dawana's name check with your local Red Cross to see if you REALLY need that doctor's letter, especially since we now know Dawana is in the ICU at the East Texas Medical Center (see my previous post). I would think that information would be sufficient in getting Dawana credited with donated blood meant just for her. If we sit around here awaiting a letter from some anonymous physician, who knows if he/she will EVER send it! Thinking about donating blood? JUST DO IT! Barb Mallut [log in to unmask]
