To Janet and all 'her fellow Canadians"

As one of your southern neighbors, this yank would like to wish y'all the happiest of holidays.

Does this mean the Christmas shopping season officially begins in Canada tomorrow?

Regarding "eh"
Do you know of any relationship of the versatile Canajan ''eh" and the equally diverse New Hamp Sheer "eh, yup"?
If these two got together, the convesation might go something like this:
Canadian; 'I'm walking down the street, eh?' [Like this, see?]
NH Yank; "eh, yup"*
Canadian: 'I'd hadda few beers en I was feeling priddy good, eh?' [You know how it is]
NH Yank; "eh, yup"*
Canadian; When all of a sudden I saw this big guy, eh?' [I'm not fooling.]
NH Yank; "eh, yup"*
* No translation available. At any given time might mean I agree, I disagree, you are correct, you are full it (antecedant also unknnown), hurry up and finish with your story, dinner's getting cold; the list just goes on and on...

BTW, What's for dinner?

HAPPY HOLIDAY!!!
Cathy
