I have been seeing the same dentist since I was 6 years old. She is like a member of the family...my father discovered her years ago when she made headlines for transplanting a baseball player's tooth back into his head...successfully. My sister now takes her two children to see her as well. I can't imagine anyone else ever overseeing my dental health. It will be a sad day when she retires. A few years ago, she was filling a cavity for me, In the middle of the process she suddenly stopped, stood up straight, looked really hard at me asif for the first time) and said, "What! You don't have pierced ears?" WIthout waiting for an answer, she bent back down, finished filling my cavity and then proceeded to pierce my ears. I always feel guilty now if I don't wear earings to a dental appointment. I thought this was just a Canadian thing (quirkiness, I mean). What are they teaching you guys in dentistry school? Joan U. I suppose that is a strange reationship with ones dentist but true. His father owns the largest Ford dealership in the area. If you want to buy a new Ford you tell him while he is fixing your teeth. He calls his father and later the sales manager calls you up and says he has been told to get you a car. Last one I bought from him he took $10,000 off the sticker price and I have bought two cars that way . >From the land of oddness here in Calif.... Car dealing dentists. :) Terry
