Hiya Nita... The reason ya can go UPSTAIRS easily wearing your multi-focaled glasses is because when we go upstairs we usually are looking thru the TOP - or long distance-range part of the lenses. No problemo with that. However, in going DOWNSTAIRS, we tend to look thru the BOTTOM of the lenses - the "close--for-reading" part of the lenses, and our feet aren't all that close for the lenses to focus easily on 'em (even if yer a short person it's toooooo far to focus!) Ergo... watch carefully when using them stairs no matter which direction you're going. Love to ya.....
