Since Barb Mallut' request for tips in living with pd, a lot of good
advice has been posted to the list. I would like to combine them into a
T.I.P.S. column for our local support group's newsletter if that is ok
with the authors of the tips. I would identify the source by first name
only; e.g. (my favourite) "keep a rag in your pocket & if you fall, crawl
over to something & dust it." Don
Then I thought "betcha my local support group here in Southern Ontario
could come up with more and more creative tips than Barb M's group in
Southern California! After all, what has Southern California got that
Southern Ontario doesn't? They put their pants on one leg at a time just
like us. They get rain just like us...but ours is white & piles up!" So,
Barb M...what do you say? Are you for it? Which group can come up with
the best, most, & most creative tips? We'll post them to the list or one
or two of the major pd groups....NPF? PDFC...for the decision? So far,
the prize will only be the right to say, "we won!".
Along the same lines, and more urgent, perhaps Camilla's support group
could challenge Don's group in the number of letters & phone calls urging
more $$ for Parkinson's research.....or Maine vs Texas....or...
