Camilla,

My 1996 booklet "Neurosurgery for Parkinsons: pallidotomy, thalamotomy and
deep brain stimulation, a patient's perspective" suggests the following
criteria were used in Canada in '96: good health apart from PD; no cognitive
problems; no blood clotting problems; no other chronic medical conditions,
e.g. diabetes; drug response declining badly; and the younger the better.

Hope this is some help.

Cheers,

Bill
