Rhonda,
Let me add my welcome to the List. I concur whole hearrtedly with William's
statements. My experience with pd drugs has been fast and harrowing. Diagnosed
2 years ago at the age of 48, I am currently taking 11 25/100 Sinement, 3.0 mg
Mirapex, and 400mg Tasmar daily. My nuero was very hesitant to put me on
Sinemet so we tried just about everything else before Sinemet. I went through
drug after drug and kept declining. I have also seen two pd specialists one
who upped the Sinemet and another who concurred with the other doctors. Finally
I began to stabilize with a combination of Sinemet and Tasmar. We sere then
able to reduce the amount of Sinemet by adding the Mirapex .

I think the important question is how much trust do you have in your neurologist?
Does he encourage you to do your own research? Is he supportive and encourage
you to get second and third opinions? Are you confortable talking to him/her?
Is your husband?

Cathy
