Sample letter of thanks, and request for more effort to those who have focused on PD:
Namely, Sen.Thad Cochran (he's not on the conference committee, but has made a big effort
for us), Sen Spector, Sen Harkin, Rep. Porter, and Rep Obey (don't know his record on PD).
These last 4 are the leadership of the Senate and House appropriation subcommitte for
L/HHS/E, and will be the ones negotiating the Senate and House bills in conference this
week. They are the priority. (Obey doesn't have e-mail).

Please read my previous message for e-mail addresses, and phone number for Capital
switchboard to call Obey and others.

The Honorable Thad Cochran
326 Russell Senate Office Building
Washington, DC 20510

Dear Senator Cochran:

I wish to thank you as a person with Parkinson's Disease, and for all
the members of my family who have suffered with this disease, have been
caregivers to us, and have struggled for so long. I have attached an
account of my family's history with Parkinson's, and my frustration with
how long we've hoped to eradicate it.

All your efforts and considerable accomplishments for fully funding
Parkinson's research and the NIH in the fight against this disease are
truly remarkable, and we thank you. My family, and the Parkinson's
community are very grateful for everything you have done to realize a
cure for Parkinson's Disease. We all thank you.

Respectfully,

Charlotte A. Mancuso, YPSG*, PPSG**
