Hi All, I'm new the list and to the world of this disease. My Mother (age 79) was diagnosed about 4 months ago with pd and I've tried to learn all that I can. I was just curious about a few things. From everything I have read, this seems to be a slow progressing disease. Although I think that she has actually had it for several years, it seems that since a name has been put on it that she has gone down hill very quickly. Is this common? Also, she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's at the same time. I've read that the two sometimes go hand-in-hand. Has anyone had this experience? I would appreciate any thoughts you might have. Thanks!
