Dear Marty,

I do have quit some experience in STN, since I continue to follow 50 STN
patients since mid-1997 and almost every week I have a new patient lined up
for surgery. Off course they are carefully screened and all patients are
very motivated to undergo the surgery. Just before, during and after the
surgery the patient is supported by one of the members of the Belgian
Parkinson support group, which is of great help to the patient, but also to
the surgeon and the neurologist, because we can focus more on the technical
site of the procedure.
So far we have great results and I hope to present the data at the upcoming
Parkinson meeting in Barcelona next year.

Best regards,

Chris van der Linden, M.D.
