HI MICHAEL--Since our exchange has been onlist, I'll reply here too.
Thanks for your explanation of the inability to distribute Ivan's lengthy
testimony to Congress, and your recognition of its value.   I agree that
the efforts made by individual list-members were a good idea, and that such
personal efforts are valuable and should be encouraged.  Now that Sen.
Snowe's office has agreed to pass his testimony along, I 'm sure Ivan feel
better about the time and great effort he expended on it.
I heard today that the president will veto the bill that contains "our"
funding---because the Congress wanted to make cuts (in other areas) he
objects to.....so it's back to the drawing board?
