Jane, I know what you mean about fearing the number of x-rays I was given in the search for "what is causing my left arm, shoulder, wrist and hand to hurt, not move, tingle or be numb?" In a two month time span I had MRI on my shldr, elbow, wrist and hand and 2 x-rays on same(one hospital wouldn't accept the other's), an x-ray group on my neck, and an MRI on my head. Talk about a GLOW....I didn't even need a nightlite for a trek to the bathroom!!! My dx was on Nov. 3, 1997, the week of our daughter's 16th birthday.
