DAWANA'S ANGELS

For my wife, with love

Angels come in different flavors,
Different outfits, and different size
And I know you talked with Angels
When you considered saying "good bye"

And I know it's selfish of me
To want to keep you near
But I love and need you darling
So I prayed to you "stay here"

And I know real Angels gather,
Round your bed at night
And keep you safe and warm
In the Glow of God's Pure Light

You've always loved your Angels,
And giving them as gifts,
But now it's your turn baby,
To need a special lift.

But when I went to get your Angel,
I had a problem hon,
You see, you never told me
Where Angels do come from.

So I posed it as a question,
To all I knew and loved,
Who could help me find an Angel,
And I prayed to the One above.

Then Angels began arriving,
From family and friends
But also from total strangers,
Who wished you well again

Angel cards, and Angel prayers,
Angel pictures and pins
Mailed from the world all over,
For you to be healthy again.

And now I know about Angels,
And where they're to be found,
They come from people's hearts,
And with love they do abound.
