of course
garbage in, garbage out [gigo]

but heck
who knew 30 years ago
i'd be 'talking' to 1800 buddies world wide
from my home in the middle of a blustery almonte night?

on a computer of all things

which was purchased in bermuda five years ago
as my third business computer for use at home so i could 'talk' to my office

and which had [has] the equivalent computing power in its innards
as the entire bank of bermuda international limited
16 years earlier

and which is now considered quaintly aged by current pc standards
486
25 mhz
8 mgs ram
300 mg hard drive
no cd rom

access to the tools
is the miracle in my view

e.g. in the hands of a neurological research scientist
i stand back agape and in awe

in the hands of a 10 year old playing 'doom'
not quite so impressed
