Good news for you, Ivan. Keep us informed. F :-) ******************************************************************** Phone just rang - it was the EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR of the Maine Human Rights Commission, Patricia Ryan. She said that if the opinion signed by her and by Barbara Lelli is incorrect, I can feel free to WRITE her (Ms. Ryan) by November 20. Ms. Ryan also will give me an EXTENSION of time to respond if needed. l can present ANY relevant information to explain the claims of Discrimination more fully, and to correct any misunderstandings of the facts of my case. She sounded VERY sympathetic. Essentially this phone call re-0PENS my case for re-consideration. I feel more hopeful. The MHRC Commissioners will vote in Augusta on Dec 13, and the foreclosure for $1400.00 of taxes is scheduled in Portland on Dec. 16. Someone posted on our PIEnet that money could be sent to me for the taxes. THank you, but , NO, PLEASE DO NOT send me that money. I feel like I will get a sizeable property tax reduction, once I can write down the correct facts, and once the Commissioners have better information upon which to base their vote. But there is an issue that we have discussed on the List. We do not encourage direct solicitations on the PIEnet. I agree. Those solicitations belong on private web-pages, in my humble opinion. THANKS Ivan Suzman 49/39/36
