BRITANNICA BACK ONLINE

The Encyclopedia Britannica (http://www.britannica.com) is back online
again, following three weeks of building up its technology infrastructure
after being swamped on opening day by 10 million users. Now free on the
Internet and subsidized by advertising, the venerable encyclopedia now
offers not only its own material but also news, features, "best sites," and
even book recommendations. For example, their technology book recommendation
today is "The Invisible Computer: Why Good Products Can Fail, the Personal
Computer Is So Complex, and Information Appliances Are the Solution," by our
friend Donald A. Norman.
