I use a pill of the week box, putting each day's med in that day's labeled section. If taking pills at a varying schedule each day, I can put the entire day's quota of pills in the four sectioned daily pill box that's marked Morning, Lunch, afternoon, Evening. I don't have alarms go off at pill time, but at least if I'm not sure if I took a pill at a designated, passed time, I can look in the pillbox and if it's still there, I've forgotten to take it. Most pwp are pretty good about taking our meds since not doing so can cost us in productivity and in symptom control. Good luck in helping your dad find what reminder system works for him! ---------- From: bob armentrout <[log in to unmask]> To: [log in to unmask] Subject: Re: PD:REMEMBERING TO TAKE MEDS Date: Tuesday, November 09, 1999 9:09 PM I have trouble remembering to take meds when i am understress, which is most of the time right now. I bought a small pill holder from eckards which has an alarm on it that you set to count the hours, It worked well until it went off at my 2am med time, and i was sleeping very soundly - evidently i thought it was an alarm clock or i couldn't turn it off, when i woke up it was inside my water glass. it won't go off now for some strange reason. other than that, i use a weekly pill bottle, and put the pills inot it in the order i need to take them, and i stay very consistent on when it's time to take a pill, so i know that at x hour, i need to take something ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
