Tina,

Hi !
I am a 41 yr. old atypical pd'er from Ohio. One of the meds I am taking is
Sinemet . I was only in my 30's when I started taking it.

Here is what happened when I was on 1.5 mg. Mirapex

1. After approx. 6 weeks I went from a size 6 to size 13/14 .

2 My knees, finger, ankle joints were in severe pain. I use a three wheel
walker with hand brakes.

3. I was falling asleep at the drop of a pin. even when I did go to sleep at
night :)

4. My balance was worse than before Mirapex.

5. My abdomen was swollen.

SOOOOO......I called and called my doctor, then stated the reasons that I
had to go off Mirapex.
This was a wise choice for me.

As for being employed by the the institution that is third in the nation in
pallidomy surgeries.... Was that measured by quantity or quality???
OOPS....

Tina, talk to the neuro. If u don't feel comfortable with the plan of
treatment or the physician , talk with the doctor. In Ohio I live there are
excellent PD. movement disorder physicians.
Ya jst gotta find the rght 1 4 u. k?
