Ivan, yes, I called that number the moment I read your post several days ago. The device they had was MUCH more expensive than $25!!! If I remember correctly it was in the multi-hundreds of dollars --- in the $650 range (possibly even MORE 'cause I called a lot of companies over the last coupla weeks following leads to get info about speech/voice (which are NOT the same thing, I'm finding out) devices. BTW.... I liked the device - the ChatterVox - I used to day - for it's clarity of sound - and am going to give 'em a call on Monday to see if they'd consider trimming the size and shaped of the ChatterVox without changing the currant price of $249, in order to make it less conspicuous for the user (After all, vanity is still permitted when one has PD!) <smile>. Also, while it comes with it's own belt of woven nylon, complete with plastic buckle-thingee, I'm going to suggest that the plastic belt-thinggee be made of a MUCH sturdier substance and be made larger than the present 1-inch by 1 and a half inches. I was total OFF by the time today's support group ended and it was difficult to disengage the two ends of the buckle-thinggee. The DESIGN if the buckle was very interesting basically good for Parkie-fingers to use (way better than buttons), but in such a small size it became a frustrating problem to attempt to solve when I wasn't in the mood to struggle with a little piece of plastic! STILL, the over all device is a GODSEND!!
