hi all in case any newbies are curious about greg's recent post here is a little background david boots was a member of this list a couple of years ago and left of his own volition after participating in several squabbles involving personal [both public and private] attacks on listmembers it seems that he still follows the list quite regularly either through the parkinsn on-line web-site or through an alias membership name[s] [greg - is that really you?] his participation-by-proxy over the past several months seems to swing between promoting his web-site and attacking the list or its members david and i used to be good friends [i thought]; after i posted my first message in october 1995 he contacted me privately and we corresponded regularly for about 18 months i was saddened to see his unhappy departure from the list and even more saddened to see this current behaviour i apologise to my cyber-siblings here since some of his current invective may be aimed at me earlier this year he made an offer [declined] to barb patterson to take over running this list for her he didn't make any public attacks-by-proxy til after i started helping barb in july of this year the timing of today's visitation is interesting to me since it has arrived just as it seems that this latest 'lift-kefuffle' is dying down david's last public attack-by-proxy was in august just in time to stir the dying embers of another list-kefuffle i suppose one could choose to view this 'attention' as flattering he must enjoy something about this list if he can't stop hanging around however, right now, i only feel deep sadness janet ps if anyone receives any private proxy mail please share it with the list such attempts at intimidation fade quickly in the sunlight janet paterson 52 now / 41 dx / 37 onset e-mail - [log in to unmask] web-site - http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Village/6263/
