I promised myself after the last time, when I lost my
newbie virginity, that I would NEVER willingly jump feet
first into another ListWar, BUT here goes:
I am a health care professional who posts regularly to this
list. I have been on both sides of an issue with janet,
who, although sometimes a prickly Parkinsonian, devotes
untold hours to the education, care and feeding of other
prickly Parkinsonians-that's US,guys.
It is obvious, at least to me, that the whole Sterling
fiasco was intended to disrupt, fragment, and demoralize
this ListFamily. It is equally obvious that it was also
intended as a malicious personal attack on janet. Witness
the not so subtle use of the name 'sterling.' I also feel
that the person hiding behind the various aliases is a very
sad individual in need of help. Which doesn't stop me from
resenting the fact that he periodically invades our safe
haven to slash and burn.
Re: the subject of posting so-called private E-mails to the
List-I feel that personal attacks that arrive disguised as
E-mail NEED to be subjected to the light of day/the
scrutiny of the List. They are not so subtle attempts to
isolate and intimidate, and those who send them,like
bullies everywhere, need to be confronted. I personally
have in the past, and will in the future, follow this
practice.
Right now we need to regroup and get back to battling the
real enemy-Parkinson's disease.
