Hello Jane and Jacob. Nice to here Jane that you are so well now, and you Jacob also have the possebility to have a DBS. Here in Aarhus (Denmark) this surgery takes place, but I`m not able to tell how much it costs because in Denmark we dont pay when we are going to the hospital for treatment - but we also pay about 55% in taxes.I know 21 pwp have got this surgery, 18 with a very goot result - but 3 havn`t got that benefit the expected. 5 of the 21 are my good friends are all doing so well, can`t harly believe it. If I ever comes to that point where I had to choose - I`ll never think it over. Wish yuo thw best Sonia NEVER GIVE UP ----- Original Message ----- From: JaneRoss <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]> Sent: 13. november 1999 04:40 Subject: Re: STN DBS > Dear Jacob, > > I had one of the first DBS STN, not that I'm bragging I told them I didn't > want to be first, come to find out I was third. > > Anyway ever since, I have been trying to help others get through it and > some of those I'm trying to help aren't doing very well.
