Ann---I too have had some peripheral swelling but it was in reaction to a
drug taken n connection with a different disease. Our family physician
expressed some concern. But for a different view our neurologist
rather likes the peripheral swelling. He maintains that it stabilizes the
blood pressure at a higher level. which in my case is an effect he wants.
In any event, sounds like a decision that ought to made in b with a

> My husband has been taking Amantadine for about six months and has swollen
feet and ankles. His hands are pretty swollen too. I know one of the side
effects of Amantadine is swelling. Would this be a reason to stop taking it?
What are the consequences of this swelling?
