Thanks, you're right (again!). I don't know how memory can play
such tricks. In fact, tricyclic antidepressants such as Elavil or
Toframil are recommended (Duvoisin, 4th ed., p.72) as possibly
working even better when combined with levodopa (Sinemet) therapy
in depressed PD patients. I still think, BTW, that mood swings due
to the intermittent nature of levodopa dosage are too often mistaken
for clinical depression; but that's a completely different topic.
Returning to dystonia, even the rare exception from the Precautions
paragraph is wrong, in my haste I misread "dyskinesia" as "dystonia".
Anyway, the substance of my posting remains: The particular kind of
dystonia reported by Marty (whom, incidentally, I have observed in
person) has not to my knowledge been associated with Sinemet, although
something like it may occur in the absence of PD. Cheers,
