Mary, The best source of information about your post-op prognosis is either your neurologist or your surgeon. It sounds as though something went wrong (I have a knack for the obvious :-) . Either they hit some areas other than the GPi or you had some post-op bleeding. The prognosis I believe is different depending on which is. What does your doctor say?
