If you join a mailing list about quilting, there will be argu- ments and discussions on other topics. If you join a mailing list about scuba diving, there will be arguments and discussions on other topics. If you join a mailing list about naturism, there will be arguments and discussions on other topics. If you join a mailing list about Grand Funk Railroad, there will be ar- guments and discussions on other topics. If you attend a cocktail party where the guests were invited because they all had Shy Draggers Syndrome, there would be argu- ments and discussions on other topics. The *only* way to keep a cocktail party on-topic is to appoint a moderator to say who can talk and what they can talk about. The only way to keep a mailing list on-topic is to make it moder- ated. Then through the rest of the time in class I will have a variety of on-times and off-times -- some of which is due to stress in any form. > ... > Date: Thu, 2 Dec 1999 07:57:36 -0600 > From: Arthur Hirsch <[log in to unmask]> > Subject: Re: new member to list > > Luella, > > For a brief description of these "Look-alikes." you might turn to my > websiite at > > http://www.fortunecity.com/meltingpot/farley/817/awhatnot.html > ... Great site. Thanks! I have the same list at the end of my "tremor story" on my Web site. The only difference is that I have tried to find Web pages that discuss the look-alike diseases and set up links to them. FWIW.
