I just finished watching the biography of Dudley Moore. There was almost
nothing about his PSP except for the mention of his funding some research
in that area. There was one sentence that intrigued me concerning his
other health problems: "He had a hole in his heart." I presume it was a
patent foramen ovale. I am not sure whether it was surgically closed or
not. It is known that the nitrogen gas concentration in the blood can be
affected by a patent foramen ovale, and some neurology researchers are
looking to nitric oxide [NO] as a neurotransmitter.
