^^^^^^ WARM GREETINGS FROM ^^^^^^^^^^^^ :-)
Ivan Suzman 49/39/36 [log in to unmask] :-)

********************************************************************
Today I received the first 10 copies of the new 21-minute
videotape, "A Parkinson's Nightmare: PWP Faces Foreclosure"
from my video reproduction service.

The quality is excellent and the content very clear.
It is another Forum 2000 film, brought to you by
Wilson Hickam , host at United Paramount Network
affiliate Channel 35, WPME-TV, Portland, ME It aired
on November 22, 1999.

The interview may be of considerable value or
interest to a number of you. If you wish to obtain a copy,
please contact me off-list.

I allowed the cameras to continue rolling, even as I entered
 end-of dose tremors, and a severe off-period.
The violent tremors, coldness, speech changes, and facial dystonia
that made uncontrollable syllables intercede, add urgency to
the film, and show the dark side of PD quite visibly.

All of my 6 caregivers agree that it is a powerful film.

It has generated an unending volume of daily calls from people in the
viewing area,
and clearly has moved them to rally to the PWP cause.
I am sure many of you will agree that however ugly we
PWP's seem to be when in our off-states,. the shock value
(and the informational value) is extremely important.

I hope a few of you will contact me right away, as this film
could make a big difference in preventing a PWP you know
from having to deal with potential financial ruin.

A couple of final notes:

I also have copies available of both 1998 CBS-affiliate WCSH-TV
interviews,
one with my neurologist (Jan 23) and one with PWP Karen Bardo
and her husband Jon(April 6), the initial Forum 2000 interview made
in July, 1999 (The Challenge of Young Parkinson's), and
the recent Healthviews interview reviewed only by Hiilary
Blue ("success follows success") , on local cable network Channel 4,
with my neurologist, my care provider Natalie Anthony.

Maine Medical Center's owner, Maine Health, has just contacted
me about making a film about PWP dramas in the Emergency
Room.
Hope to hear from you soon,

  Ivan Suzman , Portland, Maine
