Hi Nancy and Carole, If your doctor tells you there are no side effects to PD meds he is either ignorant or trying to keep you in the dark (barefoot and pregnant) and if either seem to be a repeated behavior on his/her part I would suggest looking for another doctor. Patient education is one is one of the most important thing that physicians do. To answer Carole I agree with all of your 3 minds on the subject. Knowledge is power, the PDR or package insert can bog down a patient with excess information that they do not know how to interpret and check with your doctor and the PDR if you are having any significant occurrences after starting a drug. A drug reaction can be idiosyncratic and occur in you as the first (UN)reported case. Also you should be able to use your pharmacist as a resource. What was prescribed for you that they said had no side effects?
