the following posting and asked me to spread the word. Please excuse

We are seeking two, full-time, tenure-track faculty members at the
Assistant/Associate level to support the growth of our M.A. in Education,
Reading/Language Arts program. The successful candidate will hold a
completed doctorate or be at final stages of a dissertation in the field of
Reading/Literacy. Also, this new colleague will have completed focused
work in language studies and literacy as well as multicultural studies.
Candidates should have a theoretically well-conceived and pragmatically
broad notion about how the role of writing will facilitate graduate
students' synthesis of core program courses. A strong theoretical
background, K-8 classroom teaching, and field-based research experience are
highly desirable. Also, experience in professional development schools and
a background in research methodology considered an asset. Responsibilities
will include teaching graduate-level reading/literacy courses; supporting
the fieldwork of candidates; advising students; and providing a strong and
supportive presence in the graduate reading proogram
Send (a) letter of application that clearly and succinctly outlines
teaching philosophy and interests, and research focus and interests; (b)
transcripts from all graduate work; (c) four recent letters of reference
from such varied sources as professors and colleagues familiar with a range
