In David Bevington's book, Medieval Drama (Houghton Mifflin, 1975), there
is an English translation of the 12th century Benediktbeuern Christmas Play
which I want to do in the form of a dramatic reading as a part of my
church's Christmas offering to the community during this coming Advent. My
concern is permissions on the translation. I have attempted to reach Mr.
Bevinton via e-mail with no success -- he could be on sabbatical for all I
know.
Not having dealt with any material before where permissions could be a
problem, I am not sure where to contact. Assuming other folks on this list
may have more experience in that area, I am hoping someone here might get
me on the road to resolving the issue.
Thanks,
Rob Tanner
