POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF PROFESSIONAL WRITING
PURDUE UNIVERSITY
Description:
Tenure-track beginning associate professor to teach professional
writing and rhetoric/composition at graduate and undergraduate
levels. Starting date of August 14, 2000.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. in rhetoric, technical communication, or related area required.
Significant publications and teaching experience in workplace
writing, rhetorical theory, and/or electronic writing. Commitment to
teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and to
scholarly research essential. Interest in working with Ph.D. students
and in sharing program administration. Two-course teaching load per
semester.
Application Process:
Review of complete application files will begin November 1, 1999 and
continue until position is filled. Interviews will be conducted at
MLA convention. Send letter of application, c.v., evidence of
teaching, writing sample, and three letters of recommendation to:
